The Day The Music Died
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009It’s hard to believe that 50 years ago today (February 3, 1959) the music world was rocked by an unbelievable tragedy. Three of the biggest names in popular music were killed when their small plane unexpectedly crashed during a storm. Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper were killed instantly. The following video tells an amazing story of this event as seen through the eyes of singer/songwriter Don McLean who years later immortalized this event with his song – American Pie.
