WOW Bridal Panel – “A Great Success!”
On Tuesday September 23, 2008 the Weddings of the West organization hosted a spectacular first-of-its-kind event in the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort – Spa – Casino in Reno, Nevada. Facility representative and WOW member Margie McCaffrey first suggested the event after learning of its success in another town. It involved a panel of guests assembled on stage to speak about their experiences through the sales process, pre-event planning stages and wedding day festivities. The panel included a bride and groom, three individual brides and one mother-of-a-bride who spoke of her experiences with two weddings for her kids.
The event was free to WOW members and non-members were welcomed for a nominal charge. The event required advanced reservations and was booked full. Things got underway at 6pm with networking, appetizers, champagne, coffee and drinks provided courtesy of the Peppermill. By approximately 6:30pm, guests were seated and the panel was introduced. Emcee Todd Knapp moderated the session which included a series of well-prepared questions for the panel to address. Following these questions, a volley of questions were asked by audience members who covered a wide array of topics for the panel.
The event concluded on-time at 9pm and was a tremendous success. Weddings of the West put together an informative evening that offered some of the finest insights ever enjoyed by wedding vendors.
